Moxibustion, Cupping and Gua sha
Alongside acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, or gua sha may also be used as part of your treatment, where appropriate. These methods can enhance treatment, support circulation, ease tension, and help the body return to balance.
Any techniques used are always discussed with you beforehand and are included as part of your acupuncture treatment, with no additional charge.
Moxibustion
A gentle warming herb ,moxa, is applied to acupuncture points to support circulation, ease tension, and nourish the body — particularly helpful for fatigue, pain, or feeling cold.
Cupping
Suction cups are applied to the skin to encourage blood flow, release muscular tension, and ease areas of stagnation. Especially helpful for back, neck, and shoulder pain.
Gua sha
A smooth tool is used to gently stroke the skin, helping to improve circulation, reduce tension, and support recovery. This technique can feel both stimulating and relieving.
Ongoing and regular acupuncture
Many people choose to continue with regular acupuncture - monthly or seasonally, to help maintain balance, support wellbeing, and prevent issues from building over time.
Sessions are tailored to how you are feeling -the number and frequency of treatments are always discussed and agreed together, based on your needs and how your body responds, with no obligation to continue beyond what feels right for you.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows the appointment time to be offered to another patient.
Appointments cancelled with less notice, or missed appointments, may be charged in full. Thank you for your understanding.
